Scheduled peer-support groups

Purpose: Peer-facilitated groups provide structured opportunities to listen, share experiences, and hear different perspectives. Facilitators guide conversations through a consistent group format while ensuring discussions remain within community guidelines. Participants are welcome to share what’s on their minds or simply listen. These groups offer nonclinical peer support and are intended to complement, not replace, professional mental health care.

Taking part: You can ask about a group’s format before taking part. Availability may vary, so please contact us if you have questions about current groups, scheduling, or accessibility needs before joining.

Everyday community connection

Purpose: Our Discord community brings together casual connection and meaningful peer support through a variety of voice and text channels. Members can share personal experiences, seek support, explore shared interests, work on creative projects, or simply enjoy spending time together. This balance of everyday conversation and deeper support helps foster genuine friendships and lasting relationships, making peer support more meaningful over time.

Taking part: Voice and text spaces offer different ways to connect. Members across different time zones can connect in the moment or pick up a conversation later.

Creative participation

Purpose: Share a piece of art or writing, talk through an idea, or encourage someone else’s project. Creative participation gives you a way to connect through what you enjoy and what you make. You can choose whether personal experiences are part of that expression. Members also have the opportunity to submit their creative work to be featured on UTP’s social media platforms, helping amplify their voices and share their perspectives with a wider audience.

Taking part: Members can share creative work, discuss ideas and encourage one another’s projects. Joining the private community does not require contributing to public content.

Education and stigma reduction

Purpose: Make space for lived experience and community perspectives, increase understanding of psychosis-spectrum experiences and challenge stigma.

Taking part: Explore UTP’s public educational outreach or contact us about collaboration. Our educational work does not replace individual advice from a qualified health professional.
