ABOUT US
United Through Psychosis is a global community of individuals living with psychosis spectrum illnesses who connect, support, and advocate for one another through round-the-clock peer care and creative public outreach.
Psychosis is a set of symptoms— like hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized thinking — that can occur in conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, BPD, MDD, and more. Because the experience of psychosis is widely misunderstood, stigma surrounding these illnesses adds to the challenge of healing and intensifies the need for appropriate resources to aid in successful recovery.
While professional medical care is an essential step towards wellness, it usually ends before long-term healing begins. Traditional medical and therapeutic models are often short-term, costly, offered in brief intermittent sessions, and focused more on immediate stabilization rather than sustained support and success. Peer support fills in the gaps left by that system by offering consistent availability, mutual understanding, empathy, and the power of shared experience.
Our global peer support community, hosted on Discord, offers a safe, non-clinical space where members can talk openly, find understanding, and build lasting connections to aid in their recovery. We provide a variety of channels, social spaces, and creative outlets to nurture meaningful interactions and genuine connections between members. We also host regular peer-facilitated support groups to establish safe and structured time for sharing experiences and struggles in a guided setting. Moderation is handled by people with lived experience, ensuring the space stays safe, welcoming, and respectful.
Beyond connection and support, we also believe in visibility. We amplify the voices of our peers through creative outreach on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, where we share real stories, artwork, and educational content submitted by community members. These contributions help accomplish our mission to reach more people who can benefit from the support we provide, reduce stigma, and raise public awareness about what it means to live with and recover from the experience of psychosis.
Whether you’re seeking support in managing symptoms, navigating how to support a loved one, learning how to build a path towards long-term recovery, or simply seeking connection, United Through Psychosis offers a platform where peers help each other move forward, together.
